Pope Francis asks for prayers for ex pope Benedict, who he says is ‘very sick’

VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis on Wednesday requested for prayers for former pope Benedict, saying he’s “very sick.”

Francis made the shock enchantment on the finish of his common viewers, giving no particulars.

Benedict, 95, in 2013 grew to become the primary pope in some 600 years to resign. He has been residing within the Vatican since then.
