KHERSON, Ukraine — Now that pro-Moscow forces have deserted the southern Ukrainian metropolis of Kherson, staff are tearing down posters expressing love for Russia and the advantages of receiving Russian passports and pensions.
Of their place are placards that includes easy slogans like “Kherson – hero metropolis” and “Compatriots, you’re free” printed on a yellow background.
“The second our troopers entered, these posters had been printed and handed over to us,” native Ukrainian authorities spokesperson Antonina Dobrozhenska mentioned on Tuesday as staff stripped off pro-Russian propaganda from a billboard behind her.
